TECHNICAL OPTIONS

Optional Features

bulletASM - Auto Swap Map
bulletGSM - Gear Selected Maps
bulletSS - Speed Shifter

ASM Mode - When configured for Auto Swap Maps (ASM) the X10 CDI will swap from a Start to Race Map automatically.  Aimed at maximising the chances of a holeshot in motocross the X10 CDI can be set up with a Start Map to help the rider get the jump out of the gate then swap to a Race Map for maximum power when exiting the first turn and beyond. Note: This option can be programmed into the VORTEX X10 CDI for a bike type with a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

GSM Mode - When configured for Gear Selected Maps (GSM) the X10 CDI can detect which gear the engine is in and assign the best ignition timing map for maximum torque and power in each gear. This feature can also work in conjunction with the Handlebar Switch to have 2 maps per gear for up to 6 gears selected. Note: This option has only been developed for the Yamaha YZF's and requires a Vortex Gear Switch which replaces the standard Yamaha YZF neutral switch. The Vortex Gear Position Switch is a special order item and will only be made available dependinant on order quantities. NOTE: Now available for the KXF450_06-07 using the standard gear switch.

SS Mode - When ordered with the Speed Shifter (SS) option and when setup in conjunction with a gear lever switch the VORTEX X10 CDI cuts the spark for a number of milliseconds to allows smooth change gears under full load without the need for clutch actuation. The result is faster gear changes which has it's main advantages off the start to the first corner. An additional benifit is reduced gearbox where under full load shifting. Using the ICE Software the X10 CDI can be programmed for a predefined spark cut duration from 4 to 100 milliseconds. This option must chosen at the time of purchase. The X10 CDI is manufactured with an additional 2 wires coming from it. These 2 wires have a sub loom with bare wires at the end which can be connected to the appropriate gear lever switch. Note: No gear lever switch supplied with this option.
